I stumbled onto this GREAT article about the challenges that I've faced myself, but that I will now face again as I try to raise my beautiful girls to love themselves. It brought up a variety of feelings in me. I feel so sad/overwhelmed at times thinking of the hair, skin complexion, etc., issues that we have to deal with, it's just embedded in each generation. It never seems to get much better. I hate that there will come a time where my girls will have to deal with this complex and painful stuff. Regardless of me wanting to shield them from it, that time will come and I need to be prepared. All I can say is that I pledge to do my best by them. I want them to know that that they are phenomenal, inside and out.

That's an awesome article. Thanks for the link. Thanks also for being such an honest mother & woman.
Hey I was just wondering have you read I'm chocolate your Vanilla? I was just wondering what you thought of it? My opinion is on my blog. It was so highly rated I'm wondering if I'm the only one who wasn't impressed?
You are doing a great job Dana!
