It reminds me of when our DD first met her father. She liked me well enough, but it was love at first sight when she saw her father and believe it or not, when he first held her, she said, Da Da. That's not an Amharic translation either, she really said Da Da, its on video. She hugged his neck and touched his face in a way that gave me yet another example and understanding of how some things are just meant to be. They were connected from the moment that he saw her little face on a waiting child video and knew that she was to be our baby. He couldn't explain it, he just knew. He heard his baby calling to him from Ethiopia and he answered. I hope, pray, dream, that we can answer that call again soon.

I'm frankly surprised that they gave a somewhat even handed report of international adoption.
It would have been even better if they explained that domestic adoption is not easy and that many children in foster care are not available for adoption per se.
Thanks again. I'm jealous they could bring home three siblings. That would be my dream!
