Today is February 1. It is now officially the beginning of Black History month. Even though I will aim to educate my children year long on Black History, I think that Black History month is great. Today also kicks off the start of many personal goals for me that I think are great and am also excited about.
No matter how hard things have been for us lately, I realize that I am incredibly blessed to have what I do have, especially my family. I am thankful to God for everything that He does for us. He continuously covers and protects us as the storms rage all around us. I pray that He will continue to make His will clear to me for my family, and that we will hear Him.
**I also need prayers for a beloved family member who is in deep denial about the murder of my dear cousin Jamie. It is heartbreaking to see, but what will be worse is when she finally understands that he is really gone.
